in the past four days i had went thru an intensive class training ~_~

both physically and mentally challenge...

this camp is hold by DCMC (dunedin christian methodist church <--- i think the shortform is like this...)

at 1st i thought it will be like a "boring" old fashion camp (since methodist church in my mind is like... 长老教会...)

But... it wasnt what i had expected...

 

camp started at thursday... i didnt planned to go to that camp AT ALL...

even when wayson ask me if i am going or not, i was thinking... ok say i dont have money and not going...

then wayson said he sponsor me half of the cost LOL...

i was still thinking not to go and return the money he sponsor to me later... but then...

on tuesday night... just when we are in bible class via the internet... and patrick boris yy fay lennon and vic are playing cards...

i just got this feeling that... i should go to the camp...

and i pick up my phone... texted joshua ( a friend in DCMC) when is that camp?

on that time... i made up my mind i am going to the camp...

so on thursday morning... i hop on my car... and drive all the way to gore... (around 2 hours driving i think)

 

i didnt know where the campsite was... all i got is an adress given by them (well they did offer me a ride but due to some circumstances i miss it lol, that is why i am drving there myself...)

first time driving long distances... and i can feel tat god is with me ~_~ the whole journey is awesome... got to the town centre of gore, found i site...

give them the address that i had, and they gave me a map to the campsite...

look up it, drive to the campsite ~_~

 

camp 的第一天。。。

it was around 1pm when i had arrived at the campsite...

and they just arrived there too... so after unpacking my stuff, we had lunch...

the camp has consist about 30+ ppl at 1st, and about 6~7 ppl came at night...

i am the only one that is not from DCMC lol...

but yeah... maybe its because they are mainly MALAYSIANS... i dont feel alone at all? lol

after lunch, we had a ice break games, then sort out ourselves, surveying the whole camp...etc then at around 6 we had dinner...

the 1st topic of the camp... intimacy with god...

 

what is intimacy with god?

in the bible, exodus 33:7 ~ 11, the lord speaks to moses face to face, as a man speaks with a FRIEND...

this relationship is a　相互的关系。。。

moses came to god, god came to meet moses... the relationship is close, moses and god is like FRIENDS...

intimacy is like the spirit of friendship... (Not FEAR)

we are not suppose to fear god and not come to god... we are friends to god.

John 17:21~22 <== this had show the model of divine and human intimacy...

 

There is always barriers in between the intimacy of us with god... GOD never leave us alone...

1. Superficiality ----> luke 6:46... 你们为什么称呼我“主啊，主啊”却不遵我的话行呢？

我们有把他当成我们的主吗？？

Don't just  do it on the "surface"... Go deep inside...

 

2. failure to prioritize ---> did we put him 1st or we put him last?

we should always put lord on the 1st place... no matter what is going on...

he is the one and only lord, nothing should come before him...

 

3. wrong focus...

focus only on "infomation" instead of intimacy. this is WRONG...

for an example... reading the bible... finish reading it and knowing it is totally different...

you can learn from the bible, but you might not know the truth...

2 timothy 3:7 常常学习，终究不能明白真道

One can know about GOD WITHOUT knowing him...

if you know him only from information... One day... you will burn out. he don't care how much you sacrificed or how much you did...

他只要你来亲近他。。。

 

so how?

thru practicing spiritual disciplines...

knowing bible as information  has no point at all...

BUT You need to be intimacy with him THRU Knowing more of him from the bible...

1 corinthians: but i punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others i myself should not be disqualified.

 

Benefits Of intimacy with god:

1. great energy from god

但 11:32 but the poeple who are loyal to their god shall stand firm and take action.

2. great thoughs from god

但2：20~23 read this up from your own bible LOL

3. Great boldness for god

ACTS 20:24

4. Great contentment of god

philippians 4:11~13

 

To develop this deep, abiding fellowship with christ, you need not be a spiritual superstar or a scriptural scholar, you need only have the heart and the desire to share your whole self with your saviour. No matter what you are doing, even playing games... etc  share it with god. your BAD Your GOODs and Your whole self...

and remember... NEVER GIVE UP!!
